The sequel to Tomb Raider is off, with its studio, MGM, losing the rights to the franchise and a total reboot — and recasting — in the offing. Despite being a hugely successful video game franchise, Tomb Raider has had a turbulent time when it comes to movie adaptations.

In car accidents nobody says, "You hit my car with your car! Lara goes through a lot. The point is, no matter how different we are from the character on the screen, we react in the moment as if the things that happen to her are happening to us. Even separated by a third-person perspective, we are Lara.

Cosplayer Isa has done just that and then some in this fabulous Immortal Guardian attire from Rise of the Tomb Raider. In one picture you see Isa walking through the forest with a torch in front of her, this was completed by using flash paper for its fire effect and some of the fog came from a spray bottle plus some editing to create an incredible atmospheric shot that worked so well. The gun you see Isa holding in her Lara Croft cosplay is a cheap toy gun that she simply painted and the climbing ax is made from foam, and the holster is faux leather with foam pieces.
